Also, I just want to personally thank everyone. If you’re reading this than I am thanking you. It means so much that you would show interest in this movement, my artwork, and message. I know right now it may seem like a neighborhood art project to some. But there are some seriously amazing things that will happen under the Highlife name. I am far too passionate about sharing this state of mind and view on life to let anything get in my way. The movement was originally started to offer transportation of a message, that life is fucking beautiful, and that we are one, on a much greater level. I am trying to build a platform to deliver this message, to speak on… never to stand on. Right now an average of 150 of you look at this website daily. That means so fucking much to me seriously. I speak through my heart to yours and hope to build that number into the millions one day. So ya, just wanted to show my appreciation for your eyes, ears, and smiles.

Lucky enough to live about 10 minutes from the Huntington Library/Garden in San Marino. It’s amazzzzzing there right now. Here’s a few fav’s from this past Sunday.

We put on an electro/dubstep dance club about once a month in Ventura County called Phoenix. Here’s a few cool shots from our last event on May 30.

This past weekend I was fortunate enough to participate in an authentic ceremony sacred to the Indigenous tribes of the Amazon rainforest. The tradition is some 3,000 years old and involves the ingestion of a sacred medicine called Ayahuasca. To say the least, I had an absolutely incredible experience. Led by a Shaman and a Peruvian sound healer, I experienced life and love in the greatest depth my soul has ever known and I want to take a minute to share a bit of the experience with you.

Preceding the ceremony is 7-10 days of intense diet. No salt, no sugar, no fats, oils, pretty much nothing but nuts, berries, and dry chicken lol. It was super intense. The entire ceremony takes place in the dark, as light is far too intense for the eyes during the trip. Ayahuasca heightens the senses by what feels like 10 or 20. Music is beyond words. I felt as if the medicine men were transcending light from the Sun into my heart and soul with their magnificent display of drums, flutes, didgeridoos, and other native instruments.

The ceremony seemed to last some 20-30 hours, when in reality it was about 7-8. I had intense visions of my future. Revelation after revelation. I felt an overwhelming amount of love and support for what I am doing with my life from the Earth and the Universe. I felt a deep connection to everyone and everything. And this is how I feel about life aside from the Ayahuasca experience, but the medicine allowed me to experience this in great depth. Ayahuasca is a very personal experience and the most important thing I learned, was that I am a beautiful person and I need to see that in order to share the love I have for the world in the most productive manner. I couldn’t possibly explain this experience in words, I am just trying to provide a taste.

I feel like everyone should experience this medicine. It’s nothing more than any person can handle. Children start to participate in ceremonies as young as 10 years old in the Amazon. So, if you ever have the opportunity to participate, please do. You will learn so much about yourself and the world around you and will be given Absolute wisdom and understanding of life.

Good ‘ol Mary Jane. Hmm… anyways. Marijuana has stirred up quite the controversy in everyone’s minds for the past however many years. Now I didn’t go diving into books to prepare for some brilliant essay to persuade the masses, but the facts are simple. It opens your mind. It provides an alternate view on life. It slows you down a little and teaches us how to appreciate things. If you’re opposed to it, that’s completely fine I am not here to judge you I am simply expressing myself. Surely it depends on the person, state-of-mind, and other things, but it’s not this big, crazy fucking drug that turns people into monsters and makes people break into your house and kill your family. I think some people have it mixed up with the real drug the government shovels into the mouths and minds of our youth today, War. Anyways, weed is not bad. It makes you feel amazing. It makes everything more vibrant, you become more creative and look into things rather than look at things. Use it to grow, never to escape.

To create an entire world without judgment is literally impossible. To create one for yourself, is not.

We are heavily influenced by those we surround ourselves by. Fortunately for us, we have made a divine connection to another group of artists dedicated to expressing themselves through creativity, meaning, and color. Mystic is a group of broke artists dedicated to transcending reality with light and sound.
